What state are your pubes in?
Er... clean, untrimmed.
Have you tried any other styles?
Only ever tried one 'style'. On two occasions, the ex shaved me bald and I hated it. It looked wrong, like a child and itched like hell growing back. I don't think it's overly thick, just normal, but I do have a couple of ringlets by my labia, which I have occasionally trimmed for neatness but, again, it prickles when I do 'cause of the blunt edges.
Have you had any problems with your bush?
They sometimes get stuck on the sticky bit of sanitary towels, and unattractively, little bits of toilet paper occasionally get twisted in there. Wearing tight pants can make the pubis itch (like wearing tights when your legs are a bit stubbly).
What reactions have you had to your bush?
I can't say I've ever noticed any particular reaction. They used to be standard back in my sexual heyday. Other people's desire to depilate me, I believe, is just for ease of cunnilingus rather than an aesthetic preference, and who hasn't got a pube in their mouth from time to time? I know I have. You just pull it out and get stuck back in.
How do you feel about your pubes?
I don't know how I feel about them. I do feel wrong without them. I suppose they make me feel like a grown-up woman, and I like how it looks to have a bush. It just keeps that area a little covered, but also acts as a signpost to the pleasure centre. I sometimes feel a little dirty. During a period, they do get blood congealed on them, or discharge at other times, and I can't really avoid weeing on them either, but I've had people go down on me with a full bush and knowing I had my period. I guess either I go for guys that like it a bit dirty or that, in the heat of passion, they don't think about it.
Any pube tips?
What I really don't like is the hairs on my upper thighs which, if I didn't shave them carefully, would be sparse, but quite long, thick, dark, curly hairs - like escaping pubes! Occasionally, I use conditioner, which I read in a Marian Keyes novel, as they can be a little wiry.
Do you think more women should have a full bush?
I think the fashion for waxing, etc. needs to end as, when I was younger, the thought of not having them never crossed my mind but, now, I feel like I'm some sort of freak or making a feminist statement. I can't imagine myself or anyone else going near such a delicate area with hot wax. To me, that is perverse.
