The excellent lesbian bible DIVA magazine have asked if we can help them with an exciting feature they are planning for their naked issue. They are asking for photos of your vulvas along with a description about how you feel about it – all anonymous. Then an artist will depict it for the mag as sadly the censors don’t like actual vulva pics. They’re after all ethnicities and ages and would love some hairier ones.
Says DIVA: “Here at DIVA we believe in vulva love. (You know what we're talking about when we say vulva, right? It's literally your labia; the outside part of the vagina.) And we want to show that every vulva is different and equally lovable. So we're inviting readers to send in snaps of their own lovely lady-gardens, which we will hand over to an artist to turn into a series
of drawings for our upcoming Naked issue. Imagine, a portrait of your very own vulva!
“Send your snatch, sorry snaps, to edit@divamag.co.uk by August 6. All vulvas will be anonymous but we'd like you to write no more than 20 words about how you feel about yours. What do you love about it? Have you always loved it or has it been a slow process of getting-to-know-and-love it? Were you once embarrassed about it? What helped you
to learn to love it again?”
There is so much secrecy over our wonderful folds and I love the fact that DIVA, a magazine that has long supported Fannying Around and that has much pioneering than other mainstream magazines, is doing this.
Lets all spread the lippy love!
